Get ready for the Canada Border Services Agency’s Assessment and Revenue Management project.
CBSA has mandated all importers in Canada to complete 3 steps before October 2024.
- Register your company on the GCRA portal ***MANDATORY for importing***
- Complete the necessary delegation of authority to each of your partners, including Globco your customs broker
- Set up a bond to maintain your Prepayment Release privilege
The CBSA has since announced that all importers who have completed the first two steps will have a 180-day grace period.

The CBSA provides you with all kinds of guides, particularly on payment procedures via the portal. You can access these documents on CARM. The CBSA also offers a number of free webinars on the project and what to do.
